No Child Left Behind

The No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 was signed into law on January 8, 2002.  It has been described as legislation that represents a sweeping overhaul of federal efforts to support public education in our country.  The law requires major changes in policies and practices affecting the delivery of educational programs to students.

The ISBA has created this web page to inform school officials of the mandates of the No Child Left Behind Act and to keep them advised of the latest developments in the law.  Below are links to a variety of resources that will assist interested individuals in understanding the requirements of this major piece of federal legislation.
