Board Self-Assessment
There is much more to being a responsible member of the Board of School Trustees than winning elections, attending meetings, and showing interest in educational matters.
ISBA recommends that all school board members regularly analyze and evaluate their role on the board from a leadership and governance perspective.
The self-assessment instrument provided on this web page can be used for the purpose of:
- Identifying the needs of boards and board members
- Gathering perceptions of board members
- Initiating dialogue among board members
- Assisting in the planning for board development/in-service/retreat sessions
